This Panasonic Security Camera the BB-HCM581A Network Camera, can be mounted in your home, office, warehouse or almost anywhere you think an EYE is needed. The camera can be viewed and controlled from your computer Web browser, video display, or even a compatible cell phone or PDA. It requires no additional software for the PC that you’re viewing it on, all of the required software for the control (TCP/UDP) and e-mail (SMTP), are already inside the camera.
Zoom In On The Action
Equipped with a 21x optical zoom and a 2x digital zoom, the camera lets you zoom in and out in a total of 12 steps (10-step optical zoom and 2-step digital zoom) to view objects that are far away with clarity an precission.
Sharp Clear Images
This camera is built with a CCD (Charged Couple Device) that produces sharp, clear images and has an enhanced refresh rate of 30 images per second to capture high speed action without blurring or distortion.
SD Card Memory
The Panasonic BB-HCM581A Network Security Camera features an SD Memory Card slot for recording images captured by the camera,the memory card does not come with the unit but is sold separately. A very handy feature.
Remote Power Not Required
Power over Ethernet (PoE) means you can use your camera without having to have power at the cameras location or running separate power wire as both the power and the data are transmitted over the same CAT5 wire. Enhancing it’s versatility, flexibility and ease of installation.
Remote Command and Control
Each camera has it’s own IP address and is web capable. To view the camera’s images on a PC, simply open your Web browser and type in the cameras Internet address (password optional). Once on, the camera’s movements can be controlled by your computer or a compatible cell phone or PDA. There are 350 Pan (left & right) movement and 210 Tilt (up & down) movement available. You can also assign a “Home Position” that allows you to return the camera to a pre-designated shooting position. Up to eight positions can be registered or pre-set, so you can point the camera exactly where you want it. You can also click on the part of the image you are interested in, and the camera will automatically bring that part to the center of the screen.
Sensor Recording and Image Alerts
With the built-in motion sensor, the camera can be set to record and/or alert you when someone enters the room; and will automatically move to a preset location when triggered. The camera can be set to automatically record video at specified times and at certain speeds. In addition, with optional external sensors attached to the camera, it is possible for the camera to email or record when triggered by motion, sound, light, timer, or even a push button. These convenient functions eliminate the need for constant supervision.

The free viewnetcam service allows you to create a personal Web address (e.g., jim.viewnetcam.com) at which your camera’s live image can be found on the Internet. Access your Panasonic Security Camera live on the Internet from any internet connection around the globe! Your Web browser is the only software you’ll need.
